Greater Anchorage Chapter

Chapter Meetings
Our monthly meetings provide an excellent opportunity for you to develop your records managment knowledge and skills, while networking with colleagues and friends.  The ARMA Board meets just prior to the Chapter meeting, and all members are invited to attend.  We hope to see you soon!

Monthly Chapter meetings are FREE

Meetings are Brown Bag lunches with an educational presentation, so remember to bring munchies!  If you forget...there is a Kaladi Bros. Cafe in the lobby of the the JL Towers where food and beverages may be purchased.

Spotlight on our next presentation!

Toby Allen, Chapter President presents  "Roundtable Discussions"

 

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this particular meeting format - the Roundtable Discussions day is your opportunity to ask  your fellow records colleagues about issues that you are facing with your Records Management endeavors, and/or provide insight and advice based on your experiences with implementing similar processes.    

 

Topics will be provided at each table.   Topics can be added as needed, of course.   Those with experience on the topic and those who need advice or support with the topic gather together at the assigned table to discuss.  If you have questions about or can offer information on more than one subject, you may feel free to move from table to table as needed. 

 

We hosted a Round Table Topic meeting like this last year, and it went splendidly well.   Many of our members found it beneficial.  Those who had been there and done that also found it rewarding to help. 

 

Topics may include, but are not limited to:  Records Storage and Tracking, Records Retention & Buy-in from upper Management, Implementing ECM & EDM software systems, email archiving and retention, Organizing for destruction,  Responding to legal discovery requests, Creating your own disaster recovery program, When to Archive and where, etc…  Feel free to present a unique issue that you have as a topic too. 


Suggestions for program topics, content, and/or speakers are ALWAYS welcome.
