ARMA International, "The Authority on Managing Records and Information," is a non-profit association serving more than 10,000 information and records management professionals in the United States, Canada, and over 30 other countries. Members include records and information managers, IT professionals, imaging specialists, archivists, medical records administrators, legal professionals, librarians, and educators. ARMA International provides standards development, legislation and advocacy, trends analysis and forecasting, and numerous educational offerings.

The Greater Anchorage Chapter meets monthly (excepting a summer and Christmas hiatus) to discuss a variety of records management and related issues. The bylaws cover important topics such as Chapter objectives, membership, officers and their duties, meetings, composition and function of the Board of Directors, finances, special committees, and amendment procedures. The Chapter's bylaws were last amended September 10th, 2007.
Important Dates
The Chapter year runs July 1st through June 30th. The Nominating Committee presents a slate of candidates for Officers & Directors at the February Regular meeting. Elections are conducted by e-mail between the February and March Regular meetings. Election results are presented at the March Regular meeting. Officers and Directors are installed at the May Regular meeting.
